Graduating from the Department of Fine Arts of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Betty furthered her studies in art education at the same university. She then worked in the education field for 30 years.
She joined the Hong Kong Ceramics Research Society in 2016 and is the present president of the Society. She has been involving in many activities and events concerning history of the Hong Kong ceramics. They include being one of the curators for “Golden Splendours”, an exhibition in Hong Kong Heritage Museum in 2018 and various Guangcai/Gangcai activities, workshops and talks. She has exhibited her artworks in many countries and won various prizesawards. Her artworks were collected by the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the Department of Fine Arts of the Chinese University of Hong Kong as well as the IPAT Museum in Texas, U.S.A.
In recently years Betty has been devoted to the study of Guangcai and Gangcai, and is enthusiastic in the preservation and passing on of these art and craft.
